To assign skills to a course, you need to edit those Course settings and navigate to the 'Skills' tab (1). 

Here, you will be able to view a tabular list of all your system's available skills. On the connection column, you can see which skills are assigned, or even better associated with this course (2). There are two types of skill-course association:

• Offered: If a skill is assigned to a course is offered, this means that when users complete this course they will automatically get this skill, meaning that since they have completed the course they are considered to have this skill now
• Required: If a skill is assigned to a course as required, this means that users will not be able to get this course unless they already have this skill among their skill set
