There are three ways a skill can be assigned to a user.
- Manual assignment: An administrator can access a users profile and navigate to the 'Skills' tab (1), over there he/she will be able to view a tabular list of all skills (including those assigned to the user). The administrator can then assign a specific skill to that user (2) and add a specification if needed (3).
The same can be done by visiting the Skills section, entering a specific skill and moving to the 'Users' tab.

Course completion: once a user successfully completes a course that offers a skill, then they automatically get this skill

Skill gap test: when a user takes a skill gap test and successfully passes it, they can get automatically all those skills that are examined by that test, according to the skill-gap test settings
