Categories are a way of organizing your courses into different themes/topics, etc. They can be a flat list (e.g Ancient Civilizations, Biology, Programming, etc) or form nested hierarchies (e.g Ancient Civilizations/Greek, Ancient Civilizations/Latin, etc). 

The Categories section allows you to see all existing categories in a tabular listing that also shows the number of courses assigned to each one (1) and buttons to edit or delete a specific category (2).

This section also features a search box for quickly finding the category you want to view or edit. The categories list can be downloaded as an Excel-compatible CSV file (3).

You can add a new category through the “Add category” (4) button, by entering a name (5) for your new category and selecting its parent category (6) (if it’s supposed to be nested).

Note: You are not allowed to delete a category that has courses/curriculums assigned. In this case, the delete button is deactivated.
