A course is the main learning entity in eFront.
Courses are owned by the user that creates them, and they have the ability to edit basic course information such as name, category, price, etc.
A course owner can assign more users as Instructors for the course, giving them the ability to add and modify course content.
The Courses section allows you to see all courses in a tabular listing with buttons to edit or delete or export a specific course (1) and contains a search box for quickly finding the course you want to view or edit. The course list can be downloaded as an Excel-compatible .csv file (2).
After selecting a course, the user will get to the course's dashboard where they can view or edit the course units and content, view or edit its Properties, and assign or remove Users, Branches, Skills and Jobs, or view the corresponding course report through the respective tabs.
The 'Course Dashboard' shows general details about the course. How many users are enrolled in the course, how many users have already completed the course, what is the average score of users in the course etc (3). Moreover, the course dashboard shows the course description and its content.
To edit some of the details of the course in the course dashboard you can use the Edit mode button (4). To add some new content to the course you may use the Add content button (5) and to set up the course rules you can use the corresponding button (6).
Moreover, you can click to edit each unit of the course (7), delete it or toggle its status between active or inactive.
In addition to adding content to the course (such as new units, tests, assignments, and surveys) you can use the Add content button to access the rest of the material of the course (8).
The Properties tab displays the basic and advanced course information (you can find out more about this here).
The Users tab displays a listing of the users associated with the course, as either Instructors or Learners, as well as their registration date. For each Learner, the Users listing also displays the course completion date, what their score was and whether he was awarded a certificate.
You may use the available tools listed for each user to edit his/her status in the course or reset their progress etch. This information can be downloaded as an Excel-compatible .csv file.
Finally, tabs Skills, Branches, Jobs shows a listing of skills, branches, and jobs associated with the selected course. A “skill” describes a specific knowledge or experience that is either Offered by the course (meaning that Learners who complete the course are assigned that skill) or “Required” by the course (meaning that Learners need to have that skill, perhaps by completing another course offering it, in order to take the course). The listing of skills can be downloaded as an Excel-compatible .csv file.
