You can integrate your LinkedIn Learning platform with your eFront portal using LTI 1.3, enabling instructors and administrators to embed LinkedIn Learning content directly into courses. This integration supports seamless content access through eFront’s LTI authoring tool.
Note: : To proceed, you must have administrative access to both your eFront portal and LinkedIn Learning account. Also, ensure LTI 1.3 is supported under your LinkedIn Learning license. |
Step 1: Set Up a New LTI SSO in LinkedIn Learning
- Log in to your LinkedIn Learning administrator account here.
- Click Add new SSO (1) > LTI 1.3 (2).
- Switch to the Configuration (3) tab.
- Copy the following values:
Value in LinkedIn Learning Use in eFront OIDC Redirect URL (4) Use as Launch URL and Redirect URL OIDC Connect Initialization (5) Use as Login URL Keyset URL (6) Use as both Keyset URL and Token URL - Continue with the next step without closing this window or saving the changes.
Step 2: Register LinkedIn Learning in eFront
Now that you have the necessary values from LinkedIn Learning, proceed with tool registration in eFront:
- In a new tab, log in to your eFront portal as an administrator.
- Go to System Settings (1) > LTI Tools (2) and click Add tool (3).
- Fill in the following fields:

- Click Save (15) to register the tool.
- After saving, edit (16) the tool again and copy the following values:
- Client ID (17)
- Deployment ID (18)
You’ll need these for the next step.
Step 3: Complete the Configuration in LinkedIn Learning
- Return to the open LinkedIn Learning SSO configuration from Step 1.
- Navigate to the Registration tab and enter the values copied from eFront:

- Click Next (9) to confirm your configuration.
Step 4: Enable LTI Advantage and Deep Linking
- In the same SSO configuration in LinkedIn Learning, go to the LTI Advantage tab (1).
- Toggle on LTI Advantage (2).
- Add your eFront portal’s hostname to the allowlist (3) (e.g.,
http://your-portal.efrontlearning.com
). - Enable Deep Linking (4).
Final Steps
- Click Save to complete the setup.
- Set the integration status to Active.
- Allow a few minutes (typically 5) for the settings to propagate.
Once the integration is active, instructors and administrators will be able to:
- Launch the Deep Linking Picker from eFront’s course editor.
- Embed LinkedIn Learning videos and resources directly into eFront courses.
Note: : If the content picker or resource launch doesn’t work immediately, wait a few minutes before troubleshooting—the changes may still be propagating. |
