When a business operates in regulated markets or competes for public sector tenders, compliance with industry standards, laws, and regulations is essential. eFront is a powerful tool for delivering compliance training to your employees — or even to the general public.
The main difference between compliance and other courses is that compliance content is typically detailed and strictly defined by standards and laws. These courses aim to develop very specific skills or knowledge sets. You can model this kind of training in eFront using Automations.
Automations allow you to automate the delivery and reassignment of compliance courses. Instead of managing training cycles manually, you can create automated rules that trigger when specific events occur — such as course completion — to ensure continuous compliance.
How to Set up the Automation
| Note: the Automations feature is available by default in hosted environments. It may require extra configuration for on-premise installations. |
Follow these steps:
- Sign in to your portal as an Administrator.
- Go to Automations (1).
- Click Add Automation (2).
- In the Event dropdown, select On course completion (3).
- In the Action dropdown, select Re-enroll user to completed course (4).
- In the Time Trigger, choose Run after X months (5).
- Add a description (6) for your automation.
- Choose a Branch (7) if the automation should apply only to a specific Branch level.
- In the Course to re-enroll (8), select the course that needs to be reassigned to the learner.
- In the Run after (months) (9), set 12 months to ensure the course is reassigned 1 year after completion.
- Click Add (10) to save your automation.
Once configured, the automation will monitor completions and reassign the course to learners after the defined time period. This supports recertification needs, keeps compliance records current, and reduces manual work.
