Users are able to unenroll from a course if they have acquired it for themselves and if the related option 'Users may unenroll from courses' (1), in System Settings > Users (2) > Advanced (3) tab, is marked.

In such a case a corresponding option will appear after entering the course. In order to see this option, the users should click on the Options (1) button and the 'Unenroll from a course' (2) option will show up. 

In order for a user to be able to self-unenroll from a course, two conditions must apply. The first one is that all the refund rules must apply.

The second one is that the user must have acquired himself/herself, meaning that if the course was assigned to the user by an Administrator, or an Instructor then the user will not have the option to self-unenroll.

Clicking on the self-unenroll option will pop up a window for the user to confirm the enrollment. An optional reason can be provided from the user which will be registered with the details of the transaction.
